HURSTBRIDGE DOWNHILL
DIRECTIONS:
The trails are at Temple Ridge
Reserve on the Heidelberg-Kinglake road,
about 1.2km south of the Hurstbridge township. Jump the fence/gate at the
bottom, walk to the top of the hill, and follow any of the tracks to the bottom.
If asking directions, the locals call it "The Pines" so if they refer to that,
this is what they mean.
TRAIL
DESCRIPTION:
A few short, steep trails with some
VERY nice rock gardens and a fairly fast
flowy section at the bottom. Very technical. You have to push up, no shuttling
but it's a short walk (10 mins or so).
TRAIL LENGTH:
Approx. 500-800 meters each trail.
MELWAYS REF.: 185 J11
